FOOD:
Ta Khai offers a menu planned around the local fishermen’s daily catch to ensure that only the freshest bounty from the sea appears on the tables. At the helm is Uncle Nun and Aunt Yai, the married chef couple who first met over a shared passion for authentic southern Thai cuisine and since have honed their culinary skills over a 30-year union.
Their love of aromatic flavors and seafood specialties is showcased, accompanied by traditional family-style sharing of dishes to ensure an authentic culinary journey. One of the signatures is the curried crab, Gaeng Poo, which uniquely features their own homemade curry paste and whose recipe has evolved over the couple’s years together. Another example is the Hor Mok Talay, a traditional Tilapia fish mousse flavored with curry.
